IT did not take long for debutant Kevin Naiqama to endear himself to the Saints fans.
The game was only two minutes old when Saints spread the ball from left to right, with Jonny Lomax teeing up the pass for the Fiji test skipper.
It was still two on two, but with a shuffle of the feet Naiqams unbalanced his opposite number Dan Sarginson, before fending and darting for the line.
Liam Marshall came off his wing in a despairing attempt to stop the Saints centre, but Naiqama had enough strength and determination to ride the tackle and plant the ball down to send the crowd into raptures.
Bernard Platt captured the sequence, from the tackle bust to celebration.
