ST HELENS Tri enjoyed another terrific weekend to kick off the month of December.
Diane Taktak began with a run to 28:47 at the Halewood 5k setting the tone for a productive afternoon at Woodbank Park for the third round of the Manchester Cross Country League.
Claire Murphy led the senior ladies home ahead of a close finish between Cheryl Pace and Myka Heard. In the men’s race Colin Dobbs held off a late challenge from Robert Chesters while Michael Forber completed the podium with all three finishing in the top half of the field overall.
Mark Eccleston has been prolific at long distances over the course of 2018 and rounded off his 2018 campaign by completing the Oulton Park marathon, comprising 10 laps of the race circuit, in under 4 hours 40 minutes to close out a successful weekend for St Helens Tri who have enjoyed their best season to date.
