WEST Park overhauled old rivals Wigan 19-10 in a friendly.
After Wigan took the lead, a clever dummy hoodwinked the defenders as centre Liam Hill crossed to level matters.
Park eased into the lead as half time approached.
An incisive break by centre Danny Green led to winger Josh Ainsworth crossing in the corner, with Luke Holland converting.
The visitors got within two points of Park in the second period, resulting from an unconverted try.
Park, however, were in the ascendancy in most phases, and a brilliant mazy run oover 40 metres by scrum half Ryan Littler, leaving several defenders in his wake, produced an excellent individual try to seal the match. Holland converted.
West Park have another arranged fixture at Leigh on Saturday (kick off 2.30pm), before getting back to league fixtures on 1st December at home to Oldham.
