BILLINGE’S downturn in form continued on Saturday as they slumped to yet another defeat.
A 4-0 reverse at Eagle Sports was their fifth loss on the spin and has seen them drop to sixth in the Cheshire League Premier Division – a league they led before their run of defeats.
They went into half time with the game in the balance at 0-0, but collapsed in the second half as their Warrington-based opponents ran out comfortable victors.
Just before the hour mark, Lee Boardman headed Eagle into the lead before Jay Waldron doubled their advantage shortly after.
Another header – this time from Ged McAllister – put the game beyond the Storks and Ryan Bishop wrapped up the scoring late on.
Billinge aim to avoid a sixth straight defeat on Saturday when they welcome Poynton to Barrows Farm on Saturday.
Kick off is 2pm.
