PILKINGTON drew 1-1 at table-toppers Middlewich on a day when neither side could find a cutting to win the contest.
The deadlock was deservedly broken by Pilks with 20 minutes left.
Nathan Moore’s cross was over hit but it found Taylor free at the back and he cut inside and dispatched the ball into the bottom corner.
Pilks, who had a goal chalked off for offside in the first minute and also rattled the post and had a penalty claim turned away, then lost all their composure.
Middlewich got their equaliser with 10 minutes left when a lapse in concentration on a corner let a midfielder in to tap the ball home.
Pilks went close through Dixon and Luby before having another penalty claim waved away when Dixon’s shot appeared to strike a defender’s hand.
