NEWTON/Vulcan — a Casuals team of Vets, fringe players, teenagers and guests — enjoyed a great first venture with several past players showing they may not have the speed but still have the skills.
A crowd of over 200 were entertained by both teams who played in the spirit of Casuals Rugby.
Newton’s tries came Jonny McKenna, Paul Mannion, Paul Finney and guest player Chris Drescher from Southport RUFC.
Teenager Josh Lowe scored two and kicked two conversions.
Terry Mcguire Roofing MOM went to Newton’s Ste Chesworth for an out standing performance while rolling back the years.
Newton 1st entertain Liverpool University on Saturday.
