MARTIN Murray's next fight will be in Manchester on December 22.

His opponent is yet to be announced. but it is the next step in Murray's bid for a fifth world-title shot

It will be Murray's second fight of the year, having won the WBC silver middleweight title in June courtesy of the unanimous decision of the judges after a 12-round contest with Roberto Garcia from Mexico.

That success leaves him number two in the governing body's rankings, with Gennady Golovkin currently the number one contender to a title taken off him by Saul Alvarez two months ago.

Top-of-the-bill in Manchester will be Warrington's first defence of the IBF featherweight title.

His opponent, Frampton, trains with Murray at the Jamie Moore gym.
