FOUR St Helens players have been named in the England 19-man squad for the first test against New Zealand in Hull on Saturday.
Jonny Lomax, Tommy Makinson, Mark Percival and Luke Thompson are all hoping to add to their international caps.
Lomax has competition from Wigan's Sam Tomkins for a place at full-back or stand-off, where Wigan's George Williams, Hull's Jake Connor and Leeds' Richie Myler also come into the mix.
Makinson looks a safe bet to start, with Huddersfield's Jermaine McGillvary the only other recognised winger in the selection options.
Connor is also in competition with Percival for a centre slot, where Wigan's John Bateman and Oliver Gildart come into the reckoning too.
Luke Thompson, who made a try-scoring debut in the win against France last week, has NRL trio George Burgess, Tom Burgess and James Graham plus Warrington's Chris Hill battling with him for a spot in the front row.
