BORN-and-bred Evertonian Ronny Goodlass has written his life story ­— entitled Blue Nose ­— and he will be dropping into St Helens on Saturday morning to sign copies.

Goodlass, who played on the wing in the entertaining Everton side of 1975-77, will be at Wardleworths in Westfield Street from 11am-12.30pm.

In the book Goodlass tells his story from all angles ­— a supporter, player, coach and radio broadcaster.

He tells it as he sees it, charting his progression from fan to being an apprentice at Goodison Park where he was World Cup winner Alan Ball’s boot cleaner.

He broke into the first team under Billy Bingham in 1975 before his skills took him to Holland and the Far East.
