Moore 14 Knutsford 33
IN what was arguably their worst performance of the season to date, Moore slipped to a third home defeat of the campaign.
Fellow promoted side Knutsford got off to a flyer at Moss Lane as they exploited defensive errors to take an early 14-0 lead.
Moore did pull back a well-worked try as the ball was moved nicely for Sam Craven to put Ben Craven over.
That reduced the gap to just seven points, but the visitors were able to add two more tries before half-time.
Mike Barr was then sin-binned four minutes into the second half to deal a further blow to Moore and while they survived their period with 14 men, Knutsford did eventually extend their lead further.
Joe Pidgeon finished off some excellent handling to score his ninth try of the campaign and ensure Moore had the last laugh, but they were well beaten.
They travel to Old Bedians for their next game on Saturday.
