SAINTS LDRL (Learning Disabilities Rugby League) team played out an entertaining curtain raiser against Warrington at the Halliwell Jones on Saturday.

They played their first game, against the same opponents, back in July and the team is a culmination and celebration of many hours of hard work.

The LDRL side is a natural progression from the work done in the community between Saints Community Development Foundation and the clubs partners.

Saints are hoping their success will encourage other Foundations to join in and we could gather some real momentum for LDRL as a stand-alone brand of the game.

Saints are also actively involved with St Helens Autism Support.

Bernard Platt captured the action.
