THERE were no charges arising from Saints' stormy game at Warrington.

Saints had seen Matty Lees and Mark Percival sin-binned with Warrington's Ryan Atkins also yellow carded.

The following observations were made by the match review panel resulting in no action being taken.

On Lees' 12th minute strike with thigh on Tyrone Roberts, the report states: "Opponent is being taken down to ground in tackle spun out of a previous challenge. Player has open hands, appears to be making genuine attempt to tackle.

"However, opponent’s height rapidly drops as tackle connects.

"Player is entering tackle at speed. Contact made to head with knee or thigh, knee doesn’t appear to be promoted into head of opponent as a deliberate act.

"Accidental contact with head. Player appears to be keeping leg/hip back to prevent forceful contact with head, which would have occurred naturally due to running style and position of player."

On Percival's incident, it reads: "Player pushes and shoves other players in mass confrontation above. No act of aggression, no punches.

Ben Westwood on Danny Richardson: "Ball kicked. Late challenge, doesn’t attack standing leg. Arms are around knees, opponent comes down safely. Penalty sufficient.

With regards to Mike Cooper's shoulder contact challenge on James Bentley, it states: "Opponent drops ball as enters tackle.

"Contact then made by shoulder of player, contact made around head area. Player is looking away and opponent has dropped slightly as enters tackle.

"Player has bent own knees to lower point of contact. At point of contact, opponent has dropped even further.

"Not a shoulder charge, player is simply bracing for contact and doesn’t get arm out.

"Sets up to tackle as if going to wrap arm, but then pulls arm in, appears to be setting up to tackle the ball due to loose carry.

"Opponent gets to feet, not injured. Player’s feet are on floor at all times. Appears to be making legitimate tackle attempt, accidental contact with head."

On Atkins, who was sin-binned with Percival, it reads: "Player pushes and shoves other players in mass confrontation above.

"No act of aggression, no punches."
