JUSTIN Holbrook said it was hard to comment on the flurry of yellow cards in yesterday’s stormy clash at Warrington - but felt the Matty Lees' knee to Tyrone Roberts was accidental.
Young prop Lees was sin-binned when he caught Wolves half back Tyrone Roberts with his knee as he completed the tackle on a falling player.
The Warrington players reacted and a melee ensued, with Mark Percival and Ryan Atkins subsequently sin-binned for running in.
Roberts played no further part in the game after going off for a concussion assessment.
Holbrook said: “It is hard for me to comment. The guy was falling and there was a bump. "It was not a deliberate contact to the head I can promise you that, if anyone wants to have a look at that again.”
Like all games, the incident will be looked at by the match review panel to assess for disciplinary measures.
