STEVE Price admits his Warrington Wolves side have “a bit of work to do” if they are to reach the levels displayed by St Helens today.
The sides meet in the Super League semi-finals on October 4, but it was Saints who laid down a marker with a dominant 34-14 victory at The Halliwell Jones Stadium today.

Injury update on Roberts, Brown, Thompson and Murdoch-Masila
Price insists the result “will not mean much” when the sides face off at the Totally Wicked Stadium for a place at Old Trafford in 12 days’ time.
He also lamented the early loss of playmakers Tyrone Roberts and Kevin Brown to head and abductor injuries respectively.
“I was looking for a better display to be honest. We’ve been playing much better footy than what we displayed today,” he said.
“It was hard work when we lost Tyrone Roberts and Kev Brown early. It would be difficult for any team to lose both key playmakers and we lost them both quite early.
“Both back-rowers were struggling as well with injuries. We’ve got a bit of work to do.
“They are a good football team, St Helens. They are league leaders for a reason.
“They are big on clutch plays and if you lapse in any part of the field, they punish you.
“Today’s result is not going to mean too much in two weeks’ time. We’ll get a few players back for then, and we’ll go again.”
