PRESCOT Men kicked off the new hockey season with an emphatic 6-2 away win at Rochdale in the Lancs Cup.
Missing over half the squad through injury and work it was a scratch team that made the trip to north Manchester.
However, any fears of an upset were soon removed as goals from Si Bolton, Chris Lomax (2) and Liam Talbot gave Prescot the perfect start. Rochdale hit back with two goals of their own but the game was put to bed with two more from James Lomax.
Prescot will host Southport in the quarter finals.
