PILKINGTON Recs defeated NCL Division One play-off rivals Featherstone Lions 32-12 at Ruskin Drive.
Recs led 10-0 at the break after tries from Jon Frodsham and Chris Clayton, plus a goal from Danny Lynch.
And they took complete control in the second half with Andy Nesnit and Clayton adding touchdowns, with another goal from Lynch.
But Lions were not done, and they hit back with tries from Scott Glassell and Dan Gilbert.
Recs, however, clinched it with tries from Ian Stanley and Tez Riley to maintain their promotion push.
In the NCL Premier Division Thatto Heath Crusaders lost 20-10 at West Hull.
On Saturday it is St Helens v Wigan on two counts.
Thatto Heath entertain Wigan St Patricks while in Division One Pilkington Recs travel to Ince Rose Bridge.
