CLOCK Face Miners’ NCL side fought back twice from a deficit to snatch an 18-18 draw from the visiting Cumbrian outfit, Millom.

It took 25 minutes for someone to break the deadlock in this tense affair when Bryan Unsworth crashed over on the left edge. Clock were unable to convert and the first half finished on 4-0.

The half time team talk revitalised Millom and they racked up two unanswered tries early in the second half to lead 12-4.

However, Clock regathered their composure and continued to probe the Millom defence. They were eventually rewarded with an Alex Burke try, converted by Jack Highcock and a converted penalty brought the scores level. Millom edge back in front with a try on 70 minutes. But, in the final minutes, Burke grabbed a second try with the Highcock conversion snatching a draw for the home side.

Clock head to Gateshead on Saturday as they look to secure a promotion play-off spot in NCL division 3.
