CLOCK Face Miners missed out on a tremendous victory against NCL division three league leaders, Beverley when the visitors scored a late try to snatch a 26 all draw.

Clock didn’t get off to the best of starts and found themselves ten points down but, the home side rallied and fired in two quick tries to Mike Morgan and Luke Leyden.

Crucially, Clock were unable to convert both tries and went in behind 10-8 at half time.

Beverley stretched their lead out to 16-8 with an early second half converted try however, Shaun Costello forced his way over from acting half back to get Clock back into contention.

Frustratingly for Clock, Beverley score again but, Clock eventually got themselves into the lead with only 10 minutes to go through tries for Ben Rigby and Leyden.

Leyden’s try coming off the back of a 40 metre break by Lewis Geraghty.

Jack Highcock slotted over three conversions to give Clock a 26-22 lead before Beverley had the final say to level matters.
