A HISTORIC weekend for St Helens Tri included a personal best at the Manchester Marathon.
Michael Forber recorded a time of 3:00:07 giving him a new personal best by over five minutes, with Kevin Dunbar following home in 3:41:31.
Club duathlon champion Kevin Dudley took fourth place at the St Helens Parkrun, while Robert Chesters edged an epic duel in a rainstorm at the head of the Stadt Moers event in Whiston to take the club’s first Parkrun win of 2018 with a new course PB of 18:03.
Daniel Jones has been prolific for many years as a junior and burst on to the senior stage in style at the Edge Hill Triathlon with fourth overall and an emphatic age group win in 55:06, while Anthony Bearon produced a breakout performance finishing in 1:05:37 and Emma Austin also finished in under 1:10.
