THE Village Bakery half marathon was run on Sunday with a great Strider turnout.
David Wilson was first team member back in a great time of 1:18:10 followed by Daniel Cheetham 1:21:32, Neil Hunter was third back and ‘baked’ himself a new PB time of 1:34:00, Emma Callery was fifth Strider back and first female in 1:35:45, next was Lisa Cheers 1:36:43, Paul Brown 1:38:07 and Wendy Davies in 1:41:29.
Cross Country season was still under way and saw another multi terrain race held at Birchwood Park on Sunday.
Striders had seven male representatives including: JonJo Doherty, Ian Chisnall, Daniel Tetlow, Chris Reid, Paul Dowdle, Alex Abbott and Les Abbott.
Whilst the female team had four club runners in the event.
Susan Kerfoot, Elaine Parry, Vera Langley and Carla Langley.
