CLOCK Face Miners kicked off their second season in the NCL with a convincing 38–8 victory against Wakefield’s Stanley Rangers.
Clock were fast out of the blocks scoring early via a Karle Hunt try.
Clock’s ruck speed was causing issues for Stanley and back to back penalties and a Paul Hunt grubber kick was pounced on by Luke Leyden for the try.
Stanley got themselves back into the game with a try, but Clock were quick to reply with a try for Peter Bekker.
On the stroke of half time Stanley scored with their last try of the game.
A fantastic 50m break and try brought up the hat trick for Karle Hunt.
This was followed by a try under the sticks for Brad Davies.
But, the try of the game went to Ryan ‘Noodles’ O’Donnell who took the final pass of a play that went 50m and through 6 pairs of hands.
Shaun Costello slotted over four conversions and Paul Hunt one.
