ST HELENS Striders members were in action in windy conditions over the weekend.
At the Warrington Trail five-mile race, the first in a series of four, Nicola Donovan was the first Strider home in 49mins 8secs, followed by Nic Howard (49.31), Kevin Winstanley (50.55), Gary Eccleston (51.16) and Sue Burke (1hr 4mins 34secs).
Tony Dagnall also had to battle terrible winds over 10 miles in Lytham St Annes as he completed the course in 1hr 21mins 5secs.
Finally, the club had three members competing at the Northern Cross Country Championships in Leeds.
Pete Fairclough finished the men’s race in 48mins 48secs, follwed by Mark Riley in 54mins 48secs. Kelly Hamilton clocked 37mins 31 secs in the women’s race.
