EMMA Austin is enjoying a remarkable first season at St Helens Tri.
She has achieved numerous podium places and last week followed up her recent success at the St Helens Triathlon by taking yet another win at the St Helens Parkrun by 20 seconds, while teammate Kevin Dudley was second in the men's race.
Adam O'Shea and Emma Downie have enjoyed similar breakout success in 2017 and rounded off their 2017 triathlon campaigns with age group victories at the South Manchester Triathlon in Wilmslow, while at Christleton George Houghton powered to victory at the Chester Junior Triathlon.
It was also a weekend to remember on the world stage as mother and son duo Myka and Che Heard recorded top 20 placings in the world championships held in Rotterdam while Peter Fairclough was 13th in the M25-29 race and the inspirational Steve Williams placed an outstanding 7th in the M65-69 division.
Caroline Stalker came third in her age group at the Thorpe Park triathlon.
