AT the start of the season, Wild Cats travelled to Clock Face Miners Club to Canterbury Belles.
The home team won the toss, put their visitors in and pegged them to 4½, all in ½’s from Diane Arnold, Debbie Hayes (2); Michelle Evans, Vicky Smith, Alison Platt (2) and Helen Kewley and one from consecutive no-balls).
In reply Belles scored 5 with full rounders from Magdelina Fel (2), and ½’s from Magdelina (3), Talitha Whymet and Jayne Twist (2).
In their second innings, Wild Cats regrouped and took their score to 13 with 4 full rounders from Alison Platt and ½’s from Natalie Cotham, Diane, Deb Hayes, Michelle (2), Alison, Helen Kewley (2) and one from consecutive no-balls.
The nine needed to win was too much for Belles who were all out for 4 with one full rounder from Mel and halves from Sue Smith (2), Bliss Kenyon, Jayne (2) and one from consecutive no-balls.
Last week Cats beat Pilkington Centurions 8½: 4 and an innings.
