SAINTS' decision to contest the grade C charge levelled at forward Joe Greenwood, arising from the Challenge Cup tie against Widnes, has been vindicated.
Greenwood has been found not guilty of making dangerous contact with Vikings skipper Kevin Brown in the 68th minute of the match.
He did have the option of an early guilty plea but coach Keiron Cunningham was adamant that there was nothing wrong with the challenge.
And the disciplinary panel agreed leaving Greenwood free to play at Leeds on Friday night.
