THREE St Helens Striders completed a 50-mile ultra marathon in the Lake District.
The course started at the Dalamain Estate in Penrith, taking runners over 50 miles of Lakeland fells, and finished at Coniston.
The first Strider to cross the finishing line was Simon Poole, completing the course in 12hrs 48mins 3secs, followed by Gary Spriggs, 13hrs 44mins 26secs and Ruth Besford in 15hrs 14mins 16secs.
Striders were also in action at the Merseyvend Grand Prix 5k Series in Halewood.
First home was Peter Fairclough, continuing his recent run of form, in 18mins 17secs, closely followed by Paul Demore in 18mins 21secs.
Rachael Fishwick was first Strider woman to cross the line in 21mins 5secs, followed by Tony Horsfall 21mins 26secs, Pauline Horsfall 22mins 46secs and Carol Foster 24mins 4secs.
Seven Striders also represented the club in Lancaster at the Wagon and Horses 10 mile Road Race, with Paul Demore first home in 1hr 6mins 46secs.
