DAVE Chisnall goes into the second phase of the Betway Premier League Darts season after surviving Judgement Night.
The St Helens darter’s 7-5 win against Wes Newton at Cardiff's Motorpoint Arena knocked his opponent out, as the final eight continue the fight over seven remaining league nights.
Chisnall continues his pursuit of a top-four spot when he features in the opening contest against Raymond van Barneveld at the Motorpoint Arena in Sheffield tonight, Thursday.
Reflecting on his Cardiff win against Newton, Chisnall said: “It was one of the toughest games I've ever played and we both felt the pressure.
“When he went 4-2 up he let me back in. Once I got the sixth leg I knew I could relax and I got the last leg, and to get both points could be important for me now at the end of the season.
“I believe that I can get into the top four if I can hit my doubles because when I've been missing they’ve not been far away.”
Chisnall also has a date to look forward to Down Under.
Australia is to host a second World Series of Darts event, with the Perth Darts Masters to be held from August 22-24 at the Challenge Stadium in Perth.
Chisnall is confirmed as one of the PDC's eight competitors.
