Starbucks is launching two new chilled drinks across UK supermarkets throughout August.

The coffee chain has introduced Matcha Latte and Strawberry Matcha Latte to its ready-to-drink range.

Each drink has a recommended retail price of £2, though prices may vary by retailer.

The Matcha Latte blends milk with matcha, while the Strawberry Matcha Latte adds a fruity twist, as reported by creatorzine.com.

Both drinks are permanent additions to the Starbucks chilled coffee range, not limited-edition releases.

The Matcha Latte comes in green packaging, while the Strawberry Matcha Latte features a pink and green design.

Starbucks executive Nik Dhodi confirmed the new range had launched across several European, Middle Eastern and African markets.

Announcing the news on LinkedIn, he said: "Matcha is having a moment, and for good reason.

"Consumers are looking for new rituals, balanced energy and great taste.

The launch follows the introduction of Starbucks’ ready-to-drink Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino, which is available in the UK for the first time.

The seasonal favourite, priced at £2.20, is currently on shelves at Sainsbury’s.
