A London charity got two princes for the price of one on Thursday evening, when new father William joined his brother Harry at the opening of a centre providing sport, coaching and social facilities for young people in the local community.
The centre, run by the charity Greenhouse Sports, will provide a safe place where young people will receive intensive coaching designed to improve their future life outcomes and raise their aspirations.
During the opening of the facility in Marylebone, central London, William and Harry were given a tour and met some of the young people benefiting from the Greenhouse Centre.
On the day that William was announced as Harry’s best man for his wedding to Meghan Markle, the Duke of Cambridge was also given presents from well-wishers for his new son, who was born earlier this week.
Housed in a Grade II* listed deconsecrated church, the centre will be accessible to local schools and community members of all ages, and will provide teenagers with the opportunity to work with high-quality coaches and get active.
The Greenhouse Centre will also be the home for a national table tennis performance club in partnership with Table Tennis England.
Greenhouse Sports was the first delivery partner in London for Coach Core, the national coaching apprenticeship scheme run by Harry’s Royal Foundation.
