IT’S been lovely to see our parks being used by so many people this year, particularly during these periods of lockdown.
I think it really makes you value these outdoor spaces and how good they are for people’s general well being.
When so many people are using them, I think there does need to be some consideration about rules being in place.
Among them is whether dogs should be allowed off leads in certain areas of the parks.
I’ve seen incidents where people have nearly been knocked down by dogs who are running off their leads. I worry what will happen if one of these dogs collides with a child.
It’s a time for the council consider putting in zones where dogs are allowed off their leads and other areas where they are not.
I would love to hear the council’s thoughts on this.
