FOLLOWING on from the Star’s We Grew Up in St Helens nostalgia page last week, I would like to say that the 1980s in St Helens were wonderful.
We used to go out on a Friday, Saturday night with £20 to £30 and still have change left.
Our night would start at Jesters and work down to the Fleece Hotel which was a great night out. We would then go to the Nelson, Market, Sefton and then finish our night at Cindy’s.
Some people say the 80s were not very good but I had the time of my life and I sometimes wish I could go back to those times.
