WHEN people learn to drive they are quite rightly told of the dangers caused by driving while using a mobile phone.
But are people warned about riding around on a bike while reading their phone?
I’ve seen this on a number occasions lately, with people merrily pedalling along with one hand on a handlebar and their eyes glued to a screen – rather than the road or the pavement that is in front of them.
It’s a danger for cyclists themselves, motorists and pedestrians. Does anyone know if police can take action for this? I fear one there will be a nasty crash before too long.
