FOLLOWING on from the stories about the council moving to a more “remote and agile workforce”.

My wife worked from home for a spell earlier this year and it inconvenienced the whole family.

She would certainly refuse to do it permanently. Have the council consulted their staff (and families) about using their facilities instead of their own?

I suppose if someone hated going outside it would be heaven, work in your home, do your shopping and banking online and get your takeaways delivered. But what a sad way we live our lives.

I’m also aware of a number of younger people who simply haven’t developed many social skills for their age. A decent workplace environment would certainly help them develop personally.

Also, during the colder months it would cost a fortune to heat a house during my work time. Will there be an allowance for this?
