IT has been very difficult being cut off from everyone during the coronavirus but what has been very nice is the communities coming together.

Not so much where I live, but I have read in the Star all about the kind actions of everyone across St Helens and I think we should be very proud.

You always hear about youngsters making trouble, especially in the parks and places like that, so to hear that some have been doing what they can to cheer up lonely older people like me during lockdown is just lovely.

It reminds me of what community was like when I was a young girl and its something positive to take from all of this horribleness really.

That, and the fact that we are ever so lucky to have our precious NHS.
