THE decision to elect the whole council at the same time instead of one third is an attack on the democratic rights of the electorate.
Historically elections are decided by variations of opinion and, by using a favourable base year, can result in permanent representation of a political party beyond its short-term advantage.
Readers can draw their own conclusions as to why this was a party political vote.
