THE coronavirus lockdown may have taken away some of the things we enjoy in life – but it has allowed us to appreciate other simple pleasures.
During this time, my husband and I have taken to spending more time in the town’s parks to make sure we’re getting regular exercise.
I have to say that Victoria Park in particular is looking absolutely beautiful at the moment.
The wildflowers and floral arrangements look truly spectacular on a sunny day.
It’s been noticeable that more and more people are spending their leisure time there and seeing people in outdoor exercise groups (probably because the gyms are closed) reminded me of what you may see in one of the parks in London.
We’re lucky to have this park. Well done to St Helens Council and all the gardeners and volunteers who take care of it.
I hope more people will respect and value its splendour.
Park-goer, Carr Mill
