Tex the tiger
I WAS one of the teaching staff at Windlehurst C.P. School more than 40 years ago, when head teacher Mr Smeltzer arranged for the tiger to pay us a visit. (St Helens Star , May 28 2020).
As part of the project work mentioned, my class of seven year olds made a very large collage of the tiger.
We filled in the tiger’s stripes with materials of different textures rough, smooth, soft, knobbly etc.
We called him Tex, the texture tiger.
