LIKE everyone else my wife and I are observing the lockdown by staying at home protecting the NHS and saving lives.
We do take daily exercise by walking around our neighbourhood or sometimes crossing the A580 on to the Rainford bypass.
What is most striking when we take these walks is the amount of litter we come across.
Anything from drinks cans, bottles, plastics, fast-food cartons and the latest addition even disposable gloves.
All just discarded without a thought for the environment.
I just wish people during these difficult times would begin to see the bigger picture and start by taking pride in our town and dispose of their litter responsibly.
