THE proposed ban on pavement parking seems like a good idea in appropriate places as long as it is not used as a blanket ban on narrow streets where it’s impossible to park on roads as it would stop vital service vehicles i.e. ambulances and fire engines even the recycling and bin wagons. 


I hope over zealous parking wardens will not  just book motorists without taking these common sense things into consideration and the local council won’t use this law as a permanent cash cow leading to further decimation of our once proud thriving town.
