WHY do selfish drivers think they have the right to park on double yellow lines and inconvenience the rest of the law-abiding road users?

Last Thursday morning a van and a car parked on the yellow lines – admittedly half on the pavement – on Peasley Cross Road near to St Helens Hospital.

It meant that when cars stopped to turn right into the hospital car park traffic was brought to a standstill because the road was blocked to their left.

This very selfish and lazy action made me late for work – so please think about the effect you are having on other drivers. I hope you all get tickets next time.
