DIVERTING the 37 bus route as suggested by Mrs JR Glover would leave a large area of Eccleston without a bus service to GP practices, optician, pharmacy and Lowe House Medical Centre.

Many elderly residents shop daily at the Lidl and Asda, all in Duke Street.

The problem with the old medical practice and the pharmacy is that it should not have been moved to Knowsley Road.

I have been told by a member of the CCG that they wanted the practice moved to the Lowe House Medical Centre which is served by the bus routes 37 and 38, but the councillors in Eccleston supported the move to Knowsley Road.

The residents in Knowsley Road already have a GP practice at the Bethany Medical Centre, another poor decision for the residents of Windle and Eccleston.
