IN response to the story about the plans for the housing development off Laffak Road, Carr Mill.

The houses yes, the flats no...

You can’t simply cram so many people in that area that it wouldn’t be able to cope.

It would quickly become very unpleasant for new tenants and the already established houses that surround the proposed development.

For starters the road network in that area is not going to cope easily with so many extra people.

It needs a rethink or at least some serious fine tuning regarding the number of properties.

Cram too many people in there without sensible infrastructure and it will sadly quickly turn into a modern day slum.
