I READ with interest the recent letters regarding cars parking opposite one another and bringing traffic to a halt.
Rivington Road is nearing this point. The buses can hardly fit between the wall of cars parked on both sides. Marsden Avenue is heading the same way.
There is so much inconsiderate parking around the town such as the two houses with a mini fleet of vans that block the entrance to a small park.
Also have people any explanation for the growing trend that sees people park their cars on the public footpath rather than their driveway?
It’s an increasing and unwelcome trend and other than laziness I cannot fathom a reason to justify it?
Pavement parking should result in a parking ticket.
