WHY is it that clinicians working for the NHS think they are also accountants?
The reason I say this is that I am an OAP who has an under active thyroid and was told by a GP previously that I would be taking the tablets until the end of my life.
Now I did point out to my GP’s surgery that it would be cheaper to give me a prescription for 12-weeks supply, only to be told in response that the CCG is trying to save money, meaning prescriptions are given out for four weeks.
If that is true then it is laughable. Does the NHS wish to save funds or does the NHS wish to continually embarrass HMG?
