A SPECIAL celebration of life service is to be held next month by a dedicated band of volunteers.
The Friends of St Helens Cemetery and Crematorium group is arranging for the ceremony on Saturday, December 10, at 11am, in the crematorium chapel off Rainford Road.
Townspeople will be able to remember loved ones this Christmas at the dedication service followed by a remembrance ceremony.
A tree will be placed in the Book of Remembrance building, where you can hang a personalised leaf in memory of your loved one.
Refreshments will be provided after the ceremony, and the Citadel Choir will sing a selection of carols during the ceremony.
The tree will remain there over the festive period. Everyone is welcome to attend this inaugural celebration, which it is hoped will become an annual event.
A donation of £2 per leaf is suggested.
