A grand total of 7 matches were played at the weekend, 7 matches were lost to inclement weather and 1 failure/resignation was the combinations week. Eccleston United tendered their resignation due to player shortage so League Rules will be applied.

In the Hospital Cup only 2 games took place, Sony and Shoe battled out a tough game with the Parr lads edging a 2-3 away win with the winner being scored in the last minute.

Millhouse and Clock Face scored 3 apiece and were deadlocked for a 120 minutes; a 17 goal penalty shootout took the Millhouse through to the next round.

In the Rainford Potteries Cup Mere outclassed Junction Reserves 8-0 at ecclesfield with goals from Bowden 4, Ashton 2, Cobbe 2. Carborundum came from 2 goals behind to pip Waterside 3-2 at Bishop Road Brine, Jefferies getting on the score sheet.

In the Premier Division only 1 game survived the weather which resulted in a 6-1 home win for Newstreet over local rivals Junction.

In Division One again only 1 game was played which resulted in a 3-1 home win for Pilkington A against Penlake, Cullington 2 Mines.

In Division Two again only 1 game took place which resulted in a 4-1 home win for Brown Edge against Stanley Bank, Bradshaw Griffin 2 and a OG gave them the points.

In next weeks fixtures the Divisional cups take pride of place with 7 fixtures being played and a few league games thrown into the mix. The league’ depending on results could have its first Champions of the season in Division Two by 4.00pm.

The Leagues Cup finals have all been scheduled at Sutton High Sports Centre with the first taking place on Saturday 16th April.
