ONE-time regular soldier Mick Conroy is trying to locate his old buddy from their years in the 1st King's Own Royal Borders.
Mick now lives in Lancaster while his old army pal, Kenny Remeijkis once came from Carr Mill, St Helens.
They've never met for more than 40 years - a time when they served in Germany, Aden, Yemen, Cyprus and Bahrain.
Now, Mick would like to get in touch with Kenny, whose unusual foreign-sounding surname might help in finding him.
"We were the best of pals and once had a job locating mines in Aden", recalls Mick. "It was a tricky and highly dangerous duty."
Mick knows that Kenny had a brother and possibly sisters. "It would be great to have a reunion", says Mick, who can be contacted by telephone on 01524 61238.
