HAYDOCK Park is staging its opening three-day meeting of 2006 - including the first Ladies' Night of the year (8-10 JUNE).
The three days provide something for everyone visiting the racecourse.
The sporting action is high class on Thursday and Saturday afternoons, with two listed races - the Bank of Scotland Corporate Stakes (registered as the John of Gaunt Stakes) and the Timeform Silver Salver (registered as the Cecil Frail Stakes).Thursday is the racing day for the Princess Royal Trust for Carers, the largest provider of comprehensive carers support services in the UK.
Friday evening is the first of Haydock Park's three Lambrini Ladies' Nights of the season.
Saturday's racing action gets under way at 2.10pm, and no one need miss England's opening World Cup game against Paraguay as it will be shown on a big screen.
In the principal race - the Timeform Silver Salver - last year's winner Indian Maiden, bids to achieve back-to-back victories.
Racing starts at Haydock Park on Thursday, Friday and Saturday 8 to 10 June at 2.20pm, 6.35pm and 2.05pm respectively.
