Saints have announced that prop forward Nick Fozzard has signed a new contract that will keep him at Knowsley Road until the end of 2008.

28-year-old 'Fozz' has played 73 games for Saints since signing at the start of 2004, including the 2004 Challenge Cup Final at the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff. Previously he has played for Leeds, Huddersfield and Warrington, while he represented Great Britain in the 2005 Gillette Tri-Nations tournament.

Fozzard said: "I'm glad the next two years have been sorted out. I've got a fantastic set of team mates, and a great coach. It's the right place to be to try and win some trophies and I'm very, very happy to be staying."

Saints Chief Executive Sean McGuire said: "Nick is a quality British prop forward and we are delighted to have retained his services for the next two seasons.

"As well as being an important player for the team, he is a great character to have at the club, and we look forward to him continuing being a factor in our success in the future."
