COULD the parks get any worse?
On a recent visit to Taylor Park with our daughter we were dismayed to see the wilful destruction of the play area.
What hadn't been vandalised or stolen had graffiti so bad I am glad my daughter is too young to read yet.
Having been completely put off going back there ever again, we decided this bank holiday to go to Sherdley Park. Everything seemed fine until one of the children came out of the play tunnel crying that they had cut their finger. On further inspection we discovered a shattered beer bottle. I dread to think what could have happened if anywhere more serious had been cut.
Maybe it is about time we installed CCTV in parks to come on at night and then play any incriminating footage on the news in the hope that there are decent parents out there who would be horrified to see what their precious darlings are getting up to.
